i am a ApS (CVR 46829336), Lunekrogen 4, 9200 Aalborg SV, Denmark, runs this site and the i am a__ app and is responsible for the personal data described here. For anything about it, write to hello@imabird.productions.

Your account

When you sign up we keep your email address, when you signed up and last signed in, and whether you are in early access or on its waitlist, your place in line and when you got in. If you sign in with Google, also the id Google gives us for you and your name as Google shows it. If you subscribe later, Stripe takes the payment and we keep your Stripe customer id and the state of your subscription, never your card. If you use credits, what you bought and spent.

We use it to let you in, to let people in from the waitlist in the order they came, to email you sign-in links and the news that you’re in, and to run your subscription and credits: what you signed up for (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

Signing in leaves one cookie, which keeps you signed in for 30 days. It is needed to sign in. There are no tracking or advertising cookies, and the site loads nothing from other companies, except Google’s sign-in once you reach for “Continue with Google”.

Sign-in links work once, for 15 minutes, and are deleted within a day. We keep your account until you delete it, which you can do at any time on your account page: your account, its sign-ins and its credits go at once.

Who handles it for us: Hostinger runs our server, in a data centre in Frankfurt, Germany; Dandomain sends our emails; Stripe, only if you subscribe. If you sign in with Google, that goes through the sign-in imabird.productions uses (Google Firebase): Google gives it your name, email address and Google id, and it keeps them as a sign-in to imabird.productions as well.

Our server keeps a log of the pages and files it serves, with the internet address each request came from, for 14 days, to keep the site working and safe (Article 6(1)(f)).

Usage statistics from the app

The i am a__ app can send i am a ApS statistics on how AI agents, such as Claude Code or Codex, use it, so we can see which features agents find, use and get stuck on, and make the app better for them.

During early access it is on: early access includes it, and the app tells you once. Otherwise it is off until you say yes: the app asks once. Settings → Agents → Usage statistics turns it on or off at any time. Once it is off, nothing more is sent, and what was waiting to be sent is dropped.

What is sent, while an agent works in the app:

  • Which tools, edit operations, effects and built-in presets an agent looked up, tried and used, and the list of what the app offers them.
  • For each call: whether it worked, the kind of error and which fields it was about, how long it took and how large the answer was.
  • What the agent filled in: the fields, what it chose from the app’s own lists (such as operations, effects, eases and units), its numbers and its on/off settings. Never text it wrote: names, captions, file names and prompts are sent only as their length, and ids as “id”.
  • Which agent app made the call, such as Claude Code or Codex.
  • How often a Cut an agent worked on was changed (by the agent, by you, by an undo) and exported; whether you undid, changed or restored over an agent’s change soon after, or the agent undid it or tried again after an error; and that an agent reported a problem, never what it wrote.
  • Random ids for your install of the app, each start of the app, each agent session and each Cut; the app’s version, the Windows version and the processor type.

Never sent: your Cuts or their names, footage, pictures, sound, text or captions, file names or folders, prompts, the text agents write, your account or your email. The app also keeps its own record of what agents did on your computer, to show you and to help agents; that record stays on your computer.

Where and for how long: to our server at Hostinger in Frankfurt, Germany, over an encrypted connection. Statistics are kept for up to 13 months, the record of single agent sessions for 14 days, and are then deleted. The server sees your internet address to receive the statistics, as with any connection, and does not keep it.

Why we may: during early access, our legitimate interest in making a beta work for the agents that use it, with statistics that carry no name, email or work of yours (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); you can object at any time by turning them off in Settings. Otherwise, you agreed (Article 6(1)(a)), and you can take that back at any time in Settings. Neither changes what was sent before.

The statistics carry a random id for your install, not your name or email, so we cannot find them from who you are. To get a copy of yours or have them deleted, write to hello@imabird.productions with that id, which is in %APPDATA%\i am a__\telemetry-id on your computer.

Sorting footage

Not offered yet. When it opens: when an agent sorts your clips into categories (organize_footage) and you allow it in the app, a few frames of each clip, what the app measured of it (its shots, how much it moves, its sound levels) and the first words said in it go through our server to TypeSafe AI, whose Jev model picks each clip’s category. It is paid from your account’s credits. Our server passes them on and keeps only what each request cost, not the frames. Before it opens, this part will also say what TypeSafe AI keeps and for how long.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we keep about you, have it corrected or deleted, take it with you, or object to how we use it: write to hello@imabird.productions. We answer within a month. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish data protection authority (datatilsynet.dk).
